Technology company Nokia and HTC chose to end all litigation about the patent process. More than that, they agreed to carry out cooperation in the fields of patents and technology.
In a press release that earned KompasTekno, HTC will make a payment to Nokia. While the collaboration between the two would involve the LTE connection patent portfolio from HTC which in future could strengthen Nokia license deals.
Both also did not cover the possibility to conduct exploration of a wide range of collaboration technologies in the future.
"We are very happy with terciptakanya completion and attainment of an agreement of cooperation with HTC that has so long been holders of licenses for essential patents of Nokia's standard," said Nokia's Chief Intellectual Property Officer, Paul Safeguard.
HTC'S General Counsel, Grace Lei argues, that Nokia has one of the terkemukan patent portfolio in the tech industry.
"HTC welcomed the birth of a deal that will make us to continue to focus on the creation of a range of innovations that we offer for loyal customers," said Grace.
The patent dispute between Nokia and HTC taking place since March 2013, of which take place in the United States and Germany.
In the United States, Nokia HTC was out at least nine patent violation and asked that regulators block the HTC product. While in Germany, were both involved in a patent lawsuit 22 technology.
